Good work!

why weird??? If I want practice I would practice only one instrument. Have you ever play at real guitar??? Practice means practice.

I think only guitar would work, but maybe it could support a 'practice.ogg' for those who want the entire song (at the cost of some more space)

Single track practice mode - ya gotta learn to crawl before you walk...

As I said, this basic practice mode will provide a framework for me to further improve and enhance practice features and capabilities as I am able to rewrite the game engine's C code and add required low-level fuctions (later). I have several ideas on how to pursue further enhancements to the practice (and other) systems... and I don't want to discuss them until I code them because I may give up on several if it becomes too difficult.

I'm also doing this for me; it's what I want to work on. I will find it useful. It will not impede the regular "Gig" mode in any way. I do my best to only add on to the game; I typically don't remove features if they can be made into an option.

BTW telling me I "need to" do something makes me want to do it less. Lefty mode in the pause menu is something I personally won't ever use, but I do plan to try making it work at some point. This is not something that a right-handed guy like myself can fully test, and it will probably be buggy and difficult to fix.

edit: jlou, I just ran a search through all source files and there are no "getaddrinfo"s anywhere. No possible way for me to help you with that.... sorry

Is it because of it counting every note before the song loads or what

Suggestion:
I don't know if its on the to-do list or if its even possible...

Add reverb effect to the guitar track during starpower. It's like that in guitar hero 3.

Ok guys listen,

Myfingershurt is working very hard on pratice mode and bothering him with suggestions like effects that can not be done will make him mad.

YOU DO NOT WANNA MAKE HIM MAD!!!

I'm sure you all have great suggestions but please dont ask about them. Everyone should be happy about what this mod has done and should not be greedy.

So please, no more suggestions for a while.

I completely agree. There's not really any need for "effects" now. MFH is doing an excellent job on this. I love the new stuff he's adding and all the bugs and such he's fixed.

He should have praise. Not be tormented by MORE requests. Let him make what he wants when he wants. He actually deserves a rest.

Don't **** him off, or you **** me off as well.

To MFH: Keep up the excellent work. I show this off at the mall of ga on my laptop, with my X-plorer controller all the time. I made kids jealous. =D

I have a problem with the Linux version. In 64 bit, the guitar.ogg doesn't play, the other ogg's play fine though. I'm in Debian testing amd64 and I used getlibs to install the 32 libraries.

What all do you have on it? Do you have any animated backgrounds?
