Anyways, how do I "hack" together the notes?

nvm, I did the hacking for you

EDIT: well, the Rock Band theme seems to still not work. I'm looking into why... :(

------------

OK, it looks like I got everything missing from 2.6b this time... worldrave's hitflames and glow gfx are in the GH3 theme now, the help-manual.txt is updated to include the accuracy information, the empty mods folder is there, the GH3 theme folder name is capitalized....

I also copied over the old GH1,GH2,8bit, and RB themes and they all seem to behave properly.

I tried the new sharing website Dan posted, seemed to upload slightly faster than mediafire but doesn't have any file management layer in place... let me know if anyone has trouble downloading from this site, it seemed pretty straight-forward:

Alarian mod V2.6b minimal / light release - repaired from original installation

Archive format: .RAR, maximum compression
File size: ~27 MB
Omitted all themes except GH3
Omitted all GH3 stages except "Stage1.png" - renamed to "Default.png" (Default.png was 2.5MB, Stage1.png was 700kB)

Corrections from Alarian's installer release:
*Worldrave's hitflames and glow gfx are included in the GH3 theme
*The help-manual.txt is updated to include the accuracy information
*The required empty mods folder is present
*The GH3 theme folder name is capitalized so FoF recognizes it

In Alarian mod 2.6 with hotfix 17, I found another bug with the HOPO system, regarding ascending HOPOs over 3 notes. I have created a simple test "song" (blank ogg files), that you can use to demonstrate this problem yourself. It will be labeled in FoF as Chord Test. Each note is one second apart (Skip the first five notes for accurate results. There's a glitch with the song that the second note MUST be strummed.)
http://www.mediafire.com/?92mx11ccmd9
Here's a little step by step example of the problem.

Press a lower fret
Press a higher fret
Release the lower fret, and if the next note is in range of the hitwindow, MISS.

This is on the GH2 Strict HOPO setting with a Wide hitwindow.

PM me for my Wii or DS Friend Codes.

http://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38434 My Wii GH:WT Guitar and Drum GlovePIE script. Also supports GH3 guitars!
Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

I don't know of any songs other than this test song that have a faulty first note, but I haven't exactly played them all. =P If you'll notice, when you press the first note, it doesn't look like it's being "held" once you release it, but the other notes do. I have no idea what that problem is about, but I was reporting on the case of the HOPO bug in my previous post.

Thanks... that should be clear enough to help debug that later.

At the moment, however, I'm discovering hotfix features that haven't made it into the 2.6b release. So I'm trying to figure out everything that's still missing.

Got the redone 2.6b, but still no streak lights. Weird. New fretsonfire.ini from the zip and all. Hmmm.. 1st time. regular 2.6 works fine though.

Yeah.. I've re-"fixed" 2.6b several times now. I know.
