edit: I wonder if some people's machines actually are requiring a larger A/V delay than is currently available in the settings. Perhaps we should look into allowing larger A/V delays, and maybe even negative values as well....
Old hitwindow was ~171
The lowest hitwindow value you can get now (When playing by Difficulty&BPM) is ~130 at 200 bpm... (It's as low as 88 at "BPM Only") I'm thinking of removing the "Board speed By:" option alltogether and make a more proper calculation for the hitwindows aswell.
A/V-delay above the current maximum as a solution to Edis' problem would mean that before, you could hit notes 1 second off, which was never the case.

qqstars - that's a pretty simple way to satisfy everyone.... I can implement the "Easy" (old, static / BPM dependent) hit window like in your patch in my next hotfix, but I'd like to hear from the userbase first.
Would the inclusion of a selection for the old hit window bother anyone? I can even make it the default, so that only users who know they want the tighter / variable hitwindows will bother with it. This would really minimize thread clutter from that issue... what do you all think?
Static hitwindow is a bug.
You simply can't defend hitting notes that have passed outside the screen or are 1/10 of the board away from the notes in any way.
If anything, the variable hitwindow calculation has to be perfected.
iamnoob wrote:What if you took away board speed like you said, and added something so we don't have to adjust AV delay? idk. And are you linking EOF as a song editor?
I really don't appreciate you posting in a thread of a mod you haven't ever even downloaded. Why oh why do you care if EOF is linked to if you never use it?
I'm not linking to EOF directly in game, that's something you'll have to do yourself, I'm not going to add it to the install because I'm not going to support it.
EDIT: I'm infact not adding ANY features where the originator is not active in this topic (unless I've taken a personal interrest in learning it). Since EOF is even a whole different application than FOF, I'm definitely not doing a "Edit Song" option in Main Menu that will start this program. If you want to start the program just doubleclick the shortcut to it after you've downloaded it. The feature you're asking for is absolutely retarded.

Alarian: There are millions of posts here, so dunno if anyone has talked about it?!
(sorry if it already has). You know FeedBack (the editor) has Star power that you can manually place in songs? So I was wondering if it will ever be possible to make songs and manually place SP in a song, and play them that way?! Might be very complicated, but it's worth asking, and worth thinking of?!
By the way, 2.6 RoX!

By the way, 2.6 RoX!

Yeah, I thought of that too, but lots of other songs for FOF don't have starpower, right? And Rockband songs use a different note than GH (The SP Phrase note in GH is the Solo part note in RB).

I don't think it would work in GH/RB song, but it might do, if it was manually placed via FeedBack to them...
witch 2 file? the neck folder or the hit-window?
if the hit window, use MyfingerShurt's hotFix~
I can't get your patch to work!!

Are you sure it should work for GH Sloppy? (one thing that came into my mind?)

Edit the starpower path, the midi's hash changes, therefore, so does where your score goes.
