Hey, thats not a bad idea... like you said, pygame already does this with the source files / objects in library.zip. No idea how to do this but thats goin on the list. :)

edit:
I just ran some tests, and GH2 Strict 3-note chord pull-offs work fine.

And are you going to fix the note laying issue?

Post a screenshot of the same section of the same song in RB-theme. I think this issue is caused by the order the notes are rendered.

That would be Muse - Knights of Cydonia from GH3 rips? It makes sense seeing the ss. I remember a part like that in the song.

Linux Binary:

Download Ds-Alarian for Linux-Mediafire

Note: Themes are slightly modified and you will have to download official version for the official themes. You do need to have your own songs directory as I will not include one. I will compile a binary with the newer hotfixes as they are released.

**EDIT - 2** I forgot to mention that i edited the GHIII and Rock Band Themes. If you want the originals, just download the windows version of the mod and use the GHIIIMod and RockBandMod folders.

**EDIT** updated to hotfix 28

**EDIT Confirmed Working on Ubuntu Forums and Here**

In my late night of compiling and testing... I came across a bug. not sure if it has been mentioned, but strumming when there isn't a note there should also make the rock meter go down, not just missing notes.

Did you change the board speed and see if things are different? Like I said, I played TTFAF, which has more notes than pretty much any other GH song, and I had no rendering problem in the GH III mod. So I don't think it is a coding issue. Try changing some of those settings first before people go and change the code and cause possible other issues.
Done with year 1 of med school! (Finally!)

OMG I must have been checking this board every hour for days just to see if there is a new hotfix. I can only imagine what fingers has in store when everyone notices this site is back up.

Cheers! :)

I must say I'm really annoyed by this mod. When uploading high scores, it identifies itself as "1.2.451-RF-mod-4.15" (for you lovers of system internals, it's the "version=" field in the upload url). I'm working on a "contest server" (http://sourceforge.net/projects/fofcs, new version coming soon) and I would like to block alarian's users since they have an unfair advantage because of the 8x multiplier... but cannot figure out how to do it, since the mod doesn't set a proper version tag. I would be really grateful to the authors if they could fix this...

Found a little bug. When playing in 2 player mode, the "You Rock" message is not centered in 1 and 2 player sections.

This is with the gh theme and hotfix 28 applied.
