RF-mod 2.0 - electric boogaloo
winniez,
If you look at my other post there's a huge performance improvement in removing the note special effects.
I'm still trying to figure out why some people get hit with a slow down and others do not. The only thing that really changed in that area was the new note rendering. Did you also experience the problem in 1.0? Try using that version then try 1.5. If the problem only shows up on 1.5 then it's the new note handling.

Thank you for this mod. I love the organization of the tapes. I like all the other stuff to (although most of the optimization features are useless for me, since it runs flawlessly regardless.)
I recently edited some image files into a mod, and now the game runs slowly...I suppose I'll have to do something about that myself. It must have something to do with the multiple objects in the svg files....
It's getting closer and closer to a multiplayer mode.
Heh, my brother and I figured out a way to have a co-op multiplayer. We mapped the first two frets and a pick to the joystick, and the last 3 frets to the keyboard as normal. It's funny. We actually did pretty well on This Week I've Been...and Vivaldi's Winter.

I colored the orange fret in my RockBand Theme MAGENTA.

it does that anyway, even just the standard FoF will stutter on a dual core, mines the same, its quite sad to see a fairly basic game stutter when you have 2.6Dual core. but yeah i have to Ctrl+Alt+del and turn off one of them!

LONG LIVE THE NOOBS, THEY WILL OVER THROW US WITH THERE VASTLY SUPERIOR STUPIDITY.

Tested and 1.0 runs smoothly while 1.5 not

'string index out of range' means you have an EMPTY folder somewhere.
You probably extrated a song folder, that has the actual song folder inside it....ALL folders need song.ini or you get that error. It may be corrected in the future (better error handling)
random pyromaniac: Is the slowdown for you in 1.5 all the time? or only when you play a note?
If someone else who has this slowdown can confirm or deny the 1.0 is ok, and 1.5 is not then I will put a toggle in the next version to use or not use the new note rendering (you wont get the pretty white spot)
