It's probably worth mentioning that 90% of all drum tabs are absolutely terrible and generally won't help you
Not to say there aren't good drum tabs, but there are a ton of terrible ones

Re: Anthman852's DRUM Fretting Tutorial
Thanks for the tutorial. As a basic jumping off point for editing, it's very helpful and seems like it would be much faster than fretting everything by hand. One thing I'm confused about, though. You say to "rename the project as PART DRUM" before exporting to MIDI. Where exactly in FL Studio can you do this? I imagine that it's so when the MIDI is imported into EOF or Feedback, it identifies it as the particular part to place the notes in. But when I save the file as PART DRUM.mid and then import it, it just throws it into the guitar track. I'd like to be able to fret a song on guitar the old-fashioned way, and then import the midi file for the drum part. But as it stands right now, I can't do that without overwriting the guitar notes I've already placed.
---- EDIT ----
Never mind. I figured out how to change the track name (right clicking on the button in the part selector.) Unfortunately, it appears that when I import the MIDI into EOF, even though it puts the notes in the drum tracks, it removes all of the notes in the guitar track. It's probably just a limitation of EOF's importing system. Oh well. I suppose I can just start new songs with the drums from this tutorial, then fret the guitar afterward. That actually might make syncing the chart as a whole a bit easier, now that I think about it.

Re: Anthman852's DRUM Fretting Tutorial
yah quick question. i did all that stuff in feedback and it works, now what? how do i put all the folders together with the OGG and the song and everything? if u could get back to me that would be great.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Anthman852's DRUM Fretting Tutorial
I just wanted to say thank you for the fretting tutorial. I used your method to make my first chart and only spending about a 1/2 hour on it so far it is near perfect. Just a few notes need to be cleaned up because the tab was not perfect (of course none are). But I really think this method is great because you have a large base to start from and it becomes small sync/note placement fixes and you have a great chart!
I might release it here when I have it done. I did Nickelback - Just To Get High. Thought it was an easy one to start out with for my first chart. If I get the hang of this I will be doing alot more songs and maybe start taking requests. I'm really glad I finally can give something back to the community and maybe help pick up some of the many requests that are posted here.
Thanks again!

Honestly? The ones I use seem pretty damn near perfect...
I only pick 5* tabs, though.
Re: Anthman852's DRUM Fretting Tutorial
yes! this is just what i was looking for! i want to practice my bands songs (because i dont have my own kit).
question of clarification if anyone can help:
Green(C8) - all bass drum notes in the midi
Red(C#8) - any kind of snare drum or really fast hi-hat
Yellow(D8) - all "closed" or "pedal" hi-hat notes
Blue(D#8) - all "open" hi-hat notes, all tom notes(you will split these up later), and all ride cymbal notes
Green(E8) - all other "cymbal notes""
he put green twice... which one is for the bass and which one is for cymbals?
