You know:
Artists->Green Day->American Idiot->Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
And could somebody give suggestions to organize the 1000's (Yeah Really, Over 1,000 of 'Em) of songs i have?

Re: How do you organize your songs?
If they aren't organized right now, then I wish you good luck
Unless you want to do a collection by artist, FoF Song Manager now allow that...
Although the best would have been to start organize them since you started to get these songs... I have myself 1500+ songs, and I labellized them by "Artist - Song Name" since my first songs (the GH 1-3 packs), in fact, I never used FoF Song Manager to organize my songs, except now I use it when I DL a career pack (such as FoF Hero 2), cause I don't have to rename myself all folders (you have an option in FSM to rename the folders by "Artist - Song Name", and then I sort them in folders for each artist with 2+ songs. If an artist have only one song, then he's not in a folder...
Simple as that.
But I should warn you, I never tried the automatic "Collection creation" by artist that FSM provide now, because all my songs were already organized, so be careful

Re: How do you organize your songs?
I used the Song Manager thing, cause I have over 2000 songs (pwned ), it works a charm, only thing is, I would move all of you song packs (Guitar Hero, Puppetz Hero etc.) away from your song folder when you do it, you don't want duplicates.
It orginises them into (for example) (Name of Folder)->G->Greenday->Boulevard of Broken Dreams
It doesn't do Albums, you'll have to do that yourself.

Re: How do you organize your songs?
Genre anyone?
I have a temp folder, and a crap folder for songs that I'm not sure if I should keep or not (I tend to throw out bad songs rather quickly), crap being for badly fretted songs that still can be fun to play... I also have a "fretters" folder with a few top fretters like kotti, mon01 and puppetz.
Of course it's rather time consuming to organize like this. :P
- songs
- Metal
- Melodic Death
- Children Of Bodom
- Dark Tranquillity
- Arch Enemy
- In Flames
- Death
- Power
- Stratovarius
- Sonata Arctica

-Gutiar Hero II
-Guitar Hero III
-Gutiar Hero III DLC
-Rock Band
-Rock Band 2
-Rock Band DLC
-Downloaded Songs
-<band name>

Re: How do you organize your songs?
Mine are currently:
- Guitar Hero
- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
- Guitar Hero: 80's
- Guitar Hero II
- Guitar Hero III
.......- DLC
- Rock Band
.......- DLC
- Rock Band 2
.......- DLC
But I'm considering Dumping all my DLC into 1 folder. It's convenient to have the different games in different folders (for career mode), but if I just want to play a song, it's a little tedious to remember which DLC folder it's in. I dunno, I may just create a new folder comprised entirely of symlinks (shortcuts for you windows folk) to the 3 DLC folders.

Re: How do you organize your songs?
- AlBelGim
- Angevil
- Delahero (yeah, they were stolen, but I enjoyed most of them)
- Epic War Hero (not complete atm )
- Fof Heroes
- Guitar Hero
- Puppetz
- Other
- Rock Band
- Video game songs
That's how I got it. The "other" folder is really small though, like 20 songs.

/ DLC
/Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
/Guitar Hero: 80's
/Guitar Hero: On Tour
/Rock Band
/Rock Band 2
/Rock Band DLC (1&2)
Bunged all the RB 1&2 DLC in one folder an if an artist has 3 or more songs, they get a sub-folder.
Dunno if its just me but having a collection of this many proper songs kinda takes the essence of FoF away.
i mean, i wouldn't consider trying anyones 'homemade' songs anymore.. or making them. even if i particulally respected the artist.
I've been spoilt.
In my eyes if it aint got high quality split audio channels/tracks and fretted to a professional level then i aint got room or time for ya.
'Your Custom Songs folder is too big for the recycle bin, would you like to permanently delete it?' > yes
but at the same time thats a good thing. raising standards, ie.

Re: How do you organize your songs?
I don't particularly like the song choice of most GH and RB tracks, so custom songs are the outcome for me.

Re: How do you organize your songs?
What? People actually sort their songs?
I just toss them all in one folder and separate careers as needed.
