I'm making a Frets on fire version of a song i've made with my one-man metal band Muldjord. I've plotted all the notes for the easy version of the song, and now i'm proceeding to the medium difficulty version. Here's my problem; It took me a good while to plot the notes for the easy section, so is there a way to copy the easy version into the medium version so i can just edit it to fit with medium difficulty?
I'm aware that it isn't possible in-game. But can i somehow do it by manipulating the files in my song dir?
Copying between difficulties - Do i have to plot it all one more time?

What sequencer did you use for this? I tried a couple of freeware/shareware ones but neither of them had that functionality.
It should be easy to add this to the game by the way, maybe I'll have a look at it
I used Cubase SX 2's midi editor to do it. Also, i had to re-save the song using the in-game editor afterwards, otherwise it would be broken somehow.
My guess is that Cubase exports the midi differently than the in-game editor, and therefore they aren't completely compatible, until you re-save it in-game.
But yes, it shouldn't be too hard to program an editor for this. The 3 difficulties are simply put into 3 different octaves starting from C and going up 5 notes/halfnotes, so it uses C, C#, D, D# and E.
