Audacity is pretty good (and free).

You can use Notepad or any other text editor to make a song.ini. Make sure you don't save it as song.ini.txt or song.txt or anything but song.ini.

You get the scores by playing the song, you dont put them in yourself :S .

Thanks for the guide, I'm trying it out right now with a song at just seems to be ever so slightly off tempo...it's rather annoying, but I think I can fix it. I had FL6 and couldn't find the Piano Roll Editor, so I assume that you are using the Demo of FL7 then? I'm gonna try it and hopefully it will go smoothly.

btw, up until the Piano Roll Editor your guide made PERFECT sense and I had no problems following it. great job! I'd love to hurry up and figure this out and start making songs for the forums!

Have you tried clicking w/ the right button in the channel name?

btw, I usually do this for simple songs:

1. Find the bpm of the song (MixMeister BPM Analyzer)
2. Fix it in the Guitar Pro file
3. Export to midi and import in FL Studio
4. Arrange the notes and export midi file (without doing the mp3 thing)
5. Open it in the FoF editor to see the delay and fix it in FL Studio
Done.

Well I figured it out, I found the piano roll button but it says it's only available in the FruityLoops Edition of above. Know what that means? Maybe it needs the full version?

Ok, so I need anything other than the demo download version. Well that kinda sucks, a friend of mine might have it though. I'll see what I can do. :p

Ok, my friend had a good version (version 6 instead of 7) and everything worked, I'm gonna post the song I made in the Tune Posting forum momentarily.

The piano roll has been around since at least version 4. BTW i never said anything about using V7 either :) that was another user saying he had the demo ( and he hasnt said anything about not being able to call up the piano roll, in fact no one has untill you :) The version i use is V6 XXL producer edition ( the top line one ) At the time of writing the tutorial V6 was the latest edition ( V7 was still in production).
The V6 demo DID have the piano roll editor included ( it was basically the full version, the only difference being you couldnt save FL projects, you could only export ( which was fine for making midi files for FoF )). i had the demo for a while and was mixing tracks and using the piano roll quite happily, untill i got the full version. But yeah if a freind has V6 or V7 full get him to lend it you.

I recently found out that if you export a song with more than one guitar track and the PART GUITAR is not at the top, say:
PART RHYTHM
PART GUITAR

Then FoF will all mix the tracks up! So if people have the problem of two tracks mixing with each other, it can be fixed by putting PART GUITAR on top.
