I had a hard time with guitars. I did not like the included presets so I had to make my own. Had to put many hours on this task to get what I wanted but I finally came up with 3 custom basic guitars. Guitars are fine tuned according to the song I'm working on but I always start a new song with one of the basic three presets.

Well I know the basic guitars there s*ck! :( How did you "make" your own guitar sounds etc.?!

PS: Back on topic, from what you saw in the video, would you say that Hallowed is "One Step Close to GH Quality"?

Well... do you mean literally!? Or the thing that has to do with this topic?! Anyhow, the answer is no. This is as good as it gets, when doing these things with FL. As all the notes are spot on! :)

Ah man... don't ask me to explain how I did it. There's too many parameters to deal with but I can send you the FL file for further investigation. You'll have to swear that you will keep the file for yourself. Also, I'm asking you to not make another version of this specific song.

Sure thing. I promise I'll keep it for myself! :) ... so what song!? You're making a song now?

Check your PM. I'll send you Hallowed. I'm working on 10 other songs at the moment. I'm sure you'll understand that I don't want to name the songs I'm working on. :p

I think the only possibility of guitar hero quality is to actually HAVE the master tracks, and to have the original tabs from the bands. Mind you I personally think some of puppetz' charts are guitar hero quality.

you can just select all of the notes, then deselect the sustained notes you dont want to shrink. that is quicker than individually selecting almost every note in the song.

This is kinda offtopic but, you say everyone should use feedback, what makes it better than EOF?

The thread was posted on April 15, 2008, before EOF really picked up steam. That said, some people still prefer FeedBack, but I personally think EOF is easier to use.

Memes are so funny hahaha I'm splitting with laughter I can't control this laughter at this meme which uses a word incorrectly oh hahaha

:glare:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.
Switchfoot - Meant to Live (now with drums)
Delirious? - Investigate (Live)

This thread doesn't apply anymore. Use chart2mid, it'll do this thing for you.

It's a lot faster... + nicer.

you can do it easier if you set your "Snap to grid" to 1/6th, select all the notes you want to make small by using the select tool (and holding shift to add to your selection) then clicking on the pianoroll options button (next to the wrench icon) then EDIT, then "Discard note lengths"

this will make all selected notes 1/6th

this works the same for any note and is all dependent on your "snap to grid" selection
WIP:
"Check Your Hardware: Modern Hits" 11/20
"Check Your Hardware: Australian Anthems" 4/20
"Check Your Hardware: Alternative" 4/20
"Check Your Hardware: Classic Beats" 2/20
"Check Your Hardware: Electronic" 2/10
"Check Your Hardware: Rap" 1/10

Read my last post...

And for that you just said it's obvious. But that would loose the tails that is supposed to be there.

well...I don't think you should compare High Quality with guitar hero charts :tongue2:
Compare it like this:
"...one step closer to Puppetz Hero (Zero) Quality!"

Well, you can do this thing in EoF MUCH faster... just select the notes you want to get rid of the tails and roll the mouse wheel back, so thats faster...

I can't think of anything that's slower...

EoF - 1
Feedback - 0

Woops, didn't know chart2midi did this for you... still though, with EoF, you don't have to use chart2midi.

So...

EoF - 1
Feedback - 0
