What level do you play on FoF? - Which Difficulty Level?

I play medium, and amazing on some songs that I kno really well. My GH3 controller lags a bit so its next to impossible playing crazy fast songs, even when I have my guru friends try it.

For most third-party FoF songs, amazing. (And not just because that's often the only difficulty available.)

For songs imported from GH1 or the first 3/4 of GH2, amazing (GH's "expert"). For songs imported from the last 1/4 of GH2 or most of GH3, FoF's "medium" (GH's "hard"). For a couple GH3 songs, FoF's "easy" (GH's "medium").

I also think the guidelines FoF gives for what constitutes the levels (which leaves the fifth fret off of "medium") constrains the second-highest level to being too easy, leaving the "amazing" level either too easy for someone who is a bit better than me or too hard for someone at my level. It would be possible to make a hard song with only four frets of course, but almost essentially no one does it.

I play all difficulties.

In Rock Band and Guitar Hero I play expert. On FoF I play Amazing, but sometimes just Medium because the response is different and some of the songs are harder on FoF than those that they make on GH or RB.

Practice, practice, practice.. I'm telling you, the more you play the better you get. I couldn't handle medium either when I started and look at me now! I can pass TTFATF with like 70+ % on Expert/Amazing!

Sometimes you just want to relax and jam out with the song. Sometimes you want to play it as a game. And sometimes your kids look sad because they can't play.

This post made me tear up. The way I solve that is by letting my baby sister jam on the pick button while I do the frets. It's actually kind of fun.

Due to the fact that I almost exclusively play only custom songs and most custom songs are only fretted for Amazing, I mostly play Amazing.

The only three GH songs I have are Jordan, Smoke On The Water, and Farewell Myth :O

My brother and sister aren't as skilled at FoF as I am, so I don't want to fill up the easier difficulties with my name. It's also usually pretty boring on anything other than Amazing. Even though I usually don't reach the 90%s on some songs, Medium is just too boling.

BTW, it's so confusing for me when people refer to difficulty levels in the GH way.
