I don't know. What I DO know is that I once saw this one guy use the Wii Nunchuck to play FoF. He had the buttons for the frets and used the motion detector thing for strum. It wasn't all that good of a way to play since it was a bit inaccurate, but sure as hell was fun to watch
I guess to make the Wii controller work you'd have to find a way to map the controller onto your PC like people do with their 360 Xplorers. I don't really know anything about this since I don't own one.

Ive had my wiimote working on fof using a dongle and glovepie, its pretty cool. the script for the nunchuck version mentioned above is on the net somewhere, i have it but cant remember where i got it. let me know if u want it uploading. as mentioned tho, its VERY hit and miss. i wrote a simple script myself messing around with just the wiimote, glovpie is really easy to write in, i have zero knowledge on writing these things, i just butchered from one already written.
just gota wait now and see what buttons are mapped to what on the wiiguitar and then a proper script can be wrote allowing full use.
gota wait till 23rd november tho which is a bit w@nk, unless somewhere here has the us version and can help me out?

If it doesn't work, it is not hard to make it to work. If I had guitar hero for wii, i'd do one. Dunno when GH3 hits europe.
That's is awesome news, I was debating for the longest time wether to buy the Wii version or PC version or both. Now I'm thinking, wii Version and FoF for PC play

First post, hope I can help!
I got GHIII for the Wii on release, and found this website last night.
Now then, I'm running Windows Vista and after a lot of searching and what not, I found how to use the wii-mote with Vista and with Frets on fire.
Anyhow, once you've got a bluetooth receiver working on Windows, just open it and sync your wii-mote with your computer. Just open the bluetooth settings, add a device, start searching, hit 1+2 on the remote. Once it finds it, quickly select it and then hit next, then select the bottom option to install without a passkey and hit next. You have 20 seconds to do this. If the remotes lights stop blinking at any time before it says finish, you've got to start over. Also, you have to re-sync every time you want to use it, so remove the existing one and start over. It only takes 20 seconds so it's not too bad.
Then you need to use GlovePIE to work with the Wii-Mote. That can be found with a simple google search.
Then you need to get the script for frets on fire to work with glovepie (maps the guitar buttons to the default keys in FoF.)
Luckily, someone has already made a script for it! You can get that from:
This method should work with XP too, but I haven't tried it.

If anyone doesn't have a built in blue tooth receiver, you can get a USB receiver here.

I can confirm it works on XP as ive had it working on my pc, but i cant get Glovepie reading my wiimote on my laptop which has vista, despite using the same method as for XP.
I have read that Glovepie isnt 100% with vista, so i think you just have to try it and see if it works for you. Plus when connecting my Bluetooth dongle on vista it overwrites my speakers with some bluetooth speakers, which is really annoying!
Hopefully a new Glovepie version will be released that is 100% with vista, cus i cant wait to play it on my latop connected to the tv!!
