I am just wondering something? When you new folks make these songs and you like them as Medium or Easy, yety you still use 3 note chords and all the notes and not just the ones that would fit that criteria, are you all smoking crack? Stay with-in the levels paramiters so that people don't get carple tunnel when they play an Easy song. Please :)

Hey, be thankful that they actually are making songs.

CRACK FTW. and who cares? at least their making songs. and medium songs (as in the FOF difficulty) definitely allow three note chords.

Why be thankful for a bad song? I agree with through72, there is no point releasing a song, that is made badly e.g Over use of 2-3-4 note chords when not needed, notes in the wrong places ( frets run up, when the audio runs down ) or making a song harder than it needs to be, if a song is a fairly simple layout in the real , the frets should reflect that and be simple too, no point making a song difficult just for the sake of it.
3 main reasons bad songs are released.... 1: lazyness, some one starts making a song, gets fed up with it so they rush it to get finished. 2: EGO, they make a song and are so pleased with themselves they want the world to know and release it, when infact they should have practised fretting songs more before releasing it. 3: they are just not very good at fretting songs.
Hell i know i cant run fast, so i keep my ass off the running track. Dont get me wrong, Props to every one that trys, fretting songs isnt the easiest thing in the world to do. But i do think before you release a song you have to sit back and think " is this a good representation of the song" if you dont think it is, dont bother releasing it yet. if you dont think its acurate, chances are other users will be more critical on the song.

But hey thats just my opinion, every one is entitled to one even if its the wrong one :)

as long as songs don't abuse three or four note chords, who cares? and everyone has to start SOMEWHERE. check out my first song, deconstruction by nevermore. if it was the policy of "not good, don't release it" we wouldn't have many songs.

which is usually a pretty good tactic, but no offense, your version of seize the day was HORRIBLE. :( three note chords everywhere. i know it may be played with chords and all but that doesn't give it a reason to have them everywhere.

Or at least not all three-note chords. Yeah, most chords in real guitar do have more than or have three notes in them, but they can all usually be represented fairly well with two, or in come cases, one note in FoF.

Overusage of three-note chords can kill an otherwise good song. Overusage of two-notes can make an otherwise fun song annoying. Variety is the key to fun, well fretted songs.

@Nobby, I agree with you for the most part, but the way you said it came off as "If your first attempt is not good, give up". No NO NO NO NO! If you think it's not good, look and find ways that you can improve it. If you play it, you can get a good sense of if it's good or not. You are your own worst critic at times. When you think you've improved it to the point where it's good enough to release, release it. Listen to what people say about it. Critisism is your friend. If people don't like your song, don't let that get you down. Listen to why they don't like it, and on your next song, remember that and don't make the same mistake twice.

Now I'ma go eat me some Hot Pockets :)

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

If your refering to me. then YES actually i have made better A LOT BETTER. :D All my songs have been multi track/ multi player songs ( like in GH) and they have all had good responses from the forum. I was told for every song i did the notes are perfectly in sync and the notes were all in the right places and made sense + i did a tutorial on how i make my songs and that has been stickied. So yeah i have made better ( stick that in your pipe and smoke it! ) HA

And just so you can see me do better heres the links to some of my songs.
Joey Ramone - What a wonderful world.
Karl Jenkins - A diamond is forever
Bad Company - Feel like making love
Rolling Stones - Jumping jack flash

Now if you still feel like talking about things you have no idea about, by all means PM me and we can discuss you inabilities further! :)
Please enjoy the rest of your afternoon, I bid you good day.

Actually, I've never downloaded a nobby song. I don't like his taste in music, fair enough. However, Blackfate is a song making GOD. So is Kenshin, -Lengend-, Phil, and homerrulz.
