Which can be done by clicking on the chanel name, then going up to the menu. Selecting " channels/ move selected up "
To be honest id never noticed that myself, but i dont think i ever had part guitar anywhere but at the top, i allways move it to the top as soon as ive delete the exess instrument tracks and im just left,
with the one or two.

nobby76 wrote:The piano roll has been around since at least version 4. BTW i never said anything about using V7 either :) that was another user saying he had the demo ( and he hasnt said anything about not being able to call up the piano roll, in fact no one has untill you :) The version i use is V6 XXL producer edition ( the top line one ) At the time of writing the tutorial V6 was the latest edition ( V7 was still in production).
The V6 demo DID have the piano roll editor included ( it was basically the full version, the only difference being you couldnt save FL projects, you could only export ( which was fine for making midi files for FoF )). i had the demo for a while and was mixing tracks and using the piano roll quite happily, untill i got the full version. But yeah if a freind has V6 or V7 full get him to lend it you.

Ahh, ok. I guess I wasn't paying 100% attention or I was really tired at the time, but anyway...I'm working on the X-Men theme at the moment to learn it a little better and I wanted to let you know that I used your tutorial 1 time...and after I finished my first song I just knew every step! So great job man! Was a little vague in the tempo part, but that was partly cause I couldn't have found it if I wanted to at the time. lol

Now I do have 1 question that I hope has an easy answer. How do I setup HO/POs? I assume that I just put the notes right next to each other, but I didn't wanna start moving stuff around until I know what would work.
Looking for songs by:
Relient K, Mute Math, Anberlin, Mae
3 Doors Down, Chris Daughtry, Disciple
Casting Crowns, DC Talk, Hawk Nelson
Skillet, Lifehouse, and Mainstay

That is an easy answer... You dont!, you do not setup hopos, they are calculated by the game, If notes fall within a specific distance to the previouse one it will become a hopo! if the gaps are too far apart they will not become hopos. And i dont know what the distance between notes is either, as i dont mess with hopos, all my songs are supposed to be hopo-less.

When I right click the instrument button, there's no replace...

If replace isn't the third option from the bottom, you must be using an outdated version.

I am using FL Studio XXL v7.0.0

Everything is exactly as he says it is...

Hmm, should this work with the Rock Band mid files? I followed everything you said, then when I went to load the song, it said something was out of range, and froze...

it will work with ANY MIDI, it doesnt matter where a midi came from, its still a midi. there is nothing special about midi files. they are the same thing as polyphonic ringtones on your cell phone. If its saying something was out of range then you messed something up!

Yes it will. I myself have the demo version. All you really nead it for after you have done all of your editing is to export your song as a midi.
