Check the contents of the folder of the song you are wonking on, against one that works. Doing this should give you an idea of what file is reading incorectly.

The 3 basic contents for a song to work are: guitar.ogg, notes(MIDI Sequence) and Configuration Settings.

I did all of that
it STILL doesn't work
but all the files are Winamp media files. Does that Affect it?
The other songs that work also say winamp media...

While somebody is trying to solve holydiver's question, maybe someone can answer mine.

I followed the instructions and made my song in sync on freetar; however, when I play it on FoF the screen twitches in the beginning and I end up playing 4 notes into the song when the audio just started with the first note.

I tried the MID note shifting thing but with positive numbers I find myself playing after the song starts and negative numbers if gone to far bunch up the first notes or if not far enough cause the twitch ahead and play out of sync problem as I said above.

So am I screwed? Has anyone experienced this?

That sucks a converter that could do so would be really cool. I have a few songs that need editing and was looking for a easier way to do it. Guess it's back to the FoF editor. :(

Try using the Frets on Fire MID Note Shifter Here.

Just try shifting all the notes in a positive direction, if that doesn't work, try a negative direction.

I have not expirimented much with this, but I think that is what it is for.

It seems to do nothing...
