It's just down right sad when people try to sell stuff one can easily get in a matter of minutes. Making a profit off of something anyone can simply legally download (within reason) for nothing is sort of selfish.. even if they did "Make the DvD"

Hopefully more will be taken down as we find them.

What makes me the most angry, is that he's SELLING FRETTINGS OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DONE!

"Song Pack Can be Sold Separate (Ask for Pricing)"

crap like this is bound to happen - it is the same with MAME roms, and other open-source games etc.. There will always be someone who is trying to make a fast buck off of it.

I wouldn't mind if the guy was selling DVDs packed with FoF games, for the cost of the DVDs and postage (like MAME rom burners do), but this is just excessive...

hey - that may be a good idea actually - there could be a circle of people who are willing to burn FoF songs to CD and DVD, for the cost of the blanks plus postage, or people could provide their own blanks and postage... this is actually a pretty good idea, IMO, but I won't hijack this thread with that idea...

The reason most Rom Burners, only charge for the disk and not the Roms! Roms arnt shareware, or pulic domain, or anything like that They are just as copyrighted as a movie that came out last week. The law regarding roms is a lot like other computer games, you are legally alowed to make a backup ( a Rom ) IF you own the original ( in otherwords either the whole arcade machine or at least the mother board with the romchips on it!) like computergames, if you sell, get rid off, Your original, you can no longer own the dupilicate.

Alltho everybody uses/has roms, the same as every body has mp3's. Heck there was even a program on TV where they showed you step by step how to make a Mame cabinet, but they did not tell you where you could get roms, as they are illegal to DL.

Just thought id share that with y'all.

the reason rom burners justify their existence is because by providing the rom burning service they are actuially stopping people from selling the roms on places like eBay, etc., since many of the companies that made old school video games are out of business, and lack any legal department to enforce their copyrights. I suppose there could be a disclaimer of sorts for FoF burners, stating that by sending discs and postage that they agree that they have the legal right to own backup copies of the song files ;) just a thought...

That may bring a bands attention to this place, and we don't want that.
