I use a Double-Range Freedom V. It's very good for everything but star power. I find that doing the solos on the little buttons and nailing them all impresses people a whole lot more because it seems more "real".

yeah, I wanted that one, but I got the normal freedom v instead. my parents weren't gonna spend $10 more for 5 "useless" buttons. I like my blue one anyway.

christmas gift, I didn't have much say in the matter. I say "double range freedom v", they go for the cheapest thing with "freedom v" in the name.

if you don't put a screen up, people won't waste 2 mins to download it, extract it into mods folder, start the game, mess with the settings, choose a song to play it in. Because internet folk are a lazy breed. Without a screen, we can't be guaranteed it's worth our while, so we won't download it.

I've only ever played Frets on Fire, as I'm a cheap bastard, and I quite enjoy my Dell compact keyboard. And dang, dani, don't you have a problem hitting your F- keys on that big honkin' thing?

Hey, I saw that guitar toy at Wal'Mart, XD. Each button has a preset riff or drumbeat that it plays. lol.

I have almost the same type of keyboard that dani has. And I use the "`1234" keys to play. With short fingers. ^_^

And now I play FoF with a ps2/pc controller lala

EDIT: I just saw sketch's post... That guitar would make a nice case for a franken-tar... Ideas coming! (old keyboard, toy gutar, patience...)

1+1=2... dsk is a noob so he uses a noob controller... Any other ways for a shortcut? Maybe a program that plays the song itself. Or then maybe just photoshopping the points and the stars. I promised to stop in the other topic but i guess im in a bad mood right now..

Just got the wireless red octane at EB ($59) and the Radioshack playstation to usb ($15) ...works perfectly!!!! no joytokey or autokey or anything...running vista ultimate rtm also all's well.....

So for any of you wondering this setup seems to work great so far.

i can even control the menus from the guitar!

I'm using a Wii-mote with GlovePIE, and boy it's though sometimes. Especially when you need to fret chords (more than one button) since the primary controls are under the same button (d-pad).

I'd wish someone would come up with a better layout, because I tried to come up with something, but it just didn't work all that great, it made it even harder because I had to run my fingers over the complete lenght of the Wii-mote, and that is no biggy with a real guitar (I own quite a few) but it suck with the remote, because if will fall out of my hand when I do that..
