How much better is this game with a GH controller? - Keyboard sucks.

Okay, so apparently the window for hitting notes in FoF is less than GH. Is there a simple mod which will increase the timing window?

If by "less" you mean "larger", then yeah, FoF is pretty easy mode. Hopefully sometime soon we will see an option for a tighter note window in Alarian's mod.

even in alarian, the note window is smaller than gh3. in stock fof, its much tighter than gh2. "fof is pretty easy mode" lol. unless, he DOES have alarian. then e just worded it wrong.

To be fair, FOF's note window (with Alarian Mod) is about the same, if not ever so slightly tighter than GH2... Rock Band, well, I doubt it (it's famous for it's tight note window now)

@The 12345 problem: 1,2,3,4,5 are the default frets for Player 2 in RFMod.

strict or sloppy doesn't change the note window at all.

I've FCed the freebird solo in stock FoF and It's a damn good day when I can pass it in GH2. In Alarians its a little easier than stock FoF because you can actually strum hammer-ons, but it plays a million times better.
No, I'm not going to download stock FoF because it was terrible 2 years ago and it's still terrible now.

ive been playing guitar hero for well over 1 1/2 years, and i have rockband. i dont know about when you play, but when i play strict i cant even pass the solo on votd, but when its on sloppy i can hit most of the notes. and, I WASNT EVEN TALKING TO YOU!!! idiot

I imagine you are talking about Alarians now-

Unless you are using like hotfix 18-22 or something, pretty much the only noticeable difference in note behavior is reverse tapping. The note window is exactly the same.
