Quite a biased question since it´s FoF forums.

Null vote from me, since I like them both.
Both have tons of good stuff and since custom songs can be imported in GH 2 as well (not sure how difficult process it is but can be done) and frets can be played with GH controller, it´s good to have them both.

I guess if I had a GH controller, FoF would be alot more enjoyable. So because of the GH controller I will vote GHII. (the keyboard just doesn't do it for me)

Otherwise, I love the ability to make own songs.

I play both. If FoF songs had the impossible -- that is separate guitar tracks for new songs -- I'd probably play FoF only, or port the songs to GH.

If you don't have a guitar controller, why do you vote for GH II? That's just stupid, I found playing with a keyboard a lot easier than playing with a gamepad.

I just wanted to add that FoF is A LOT more forgiving. I was watching my friend play a song in Amazing yesterday and saw him clearly miss several notes, but it still counted. Had he been playing GH, he wouldn't got the big BUZZZ. LOL.

I'm still waiting for a custom song playable in FoF that's actually accurate all the way through. I've probably downloaded over 50 songs here in which people have claimed to be "great" but they all had either a messed up sync, missing notes, wrong fretting or some other type of error. I'm saying this and anyone that's at least a bit decent with a real guitar can back me up.

Compared to FoF, I think GH is actually a lot more forgiving. Either that or just because playing with the GH controller is a lot easier than the keyboard.

I haven't been able to fully customize my FoF or fully update it since I only play it at school and a lot of updates/downloads are in sites that are blocked by the school's computer (and there's no way I'm gonna use a proxy to download anything... it'd take too long and I wouldn't even have enough time to get the d/l by the time class ended).

Maybe if someone could actually link/rehost what the most people consider the best FoF mod still made, I could actually say somethinggood about it D: (and by "the best" I mean one where hopo's fully work... all the mods that claimed those worked haven't yet)

HOPOs work with RF mod. But the timing is A LOT stricter than without it.

FoF, you know the custom part is great. Now all we need is another Guitar Hero, where RedOctane probably port in on PC with the same functionality as FoF and the original Guitar Heroes. Until that time, I have to vote for FoF 'cause I don't have PS2 or Xbox 360.

i like FoF because of the songs. and the mods. oh, and as for songs that are really good, try finding "P.O.D. - Alive". i'm not sure who fretted it, but it was the best fretting i've ever seen syncing wise. the notes were there exactly where the guitar played, it was perfect. IMHO at least...

GH > FOF

GH = No errors, More in sync, guitar controller
FoF = Free + Free songs, but hell, if you buy GH for a modded PS2 you can mod GH. So the song benefit is lost.
