Mine came from an old Battlefield Vietnam co-op server, which people now call a "Comp Stomp" server. The server was extremely popular, and it basically was you and your friends vs. 32 North Vietnamese. The server was called RubberDucky (Co-op), and because I didn't have a name then, I was just player, or w/e the default name was. I really liked the name RubberDucky, but I didn't like the Rubber part of it. So because it was an "army game", I decided to take the name "General Ducky". This was probably the only name in most of the games I've played that was not copied. It was very unique, so I stuck with it. Funny thing is, people would think that I was an admin at the RubberDucky server, lol.
After downloading Xfire and hanging out with a clan that still exists today (always been known as -=EBB=-), and I'm still friends with most of the people there that didn't leave, even though I never really joined the clan. I became known as "Ducky" or "Duck".
Then, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow came out. The most amazing multiplayer experience, only to be rivaled, not surpassed, by the Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2. I absolutely loved the game, and became known through the community as "that guy who would volunteer to be a mercenary and was actually pretty good on both sides". Never joined the forums til Chaos Theory, though. Too bad, really. Well, the name I chose was "Spyduck". It worked well, actually. However, unlike Battlefield Vietnam, I was treated to quacks when I entered a server. Anyways, I found out that you could bind a key to say a message. Thinking of an awesome kill message, I thought of this: "You just got *P.w.N.e.D.* by T3h Duckm31st3r!!!" And now you know. The first time I used the name in public was on the Telltale Forums (the people who make the Sam & Max games, go there sometime), and from then on I've used it in many, many forums. Thing is, I always kept General Ducky for the Battlefield games, as it will always have a special place in my heart.
