Game play question concerning frets and picks

Postby thewinner » Thu Feb 26, 2009 3:43 pm

How often does one have to press the pick key during play?

For example, if a single note comes up obviously I have to press the correct fret and pick at the same time. No problem there. But what if there is a sequence of 4 notes all within about 1 second of each other. Do I have to press the correct fret and pick for all 4 notes or can I press and hold the pick for the first one and just the fret for the other 3 notes?

No, you hold the fret and press the pick for each note, approximately like on a real guitar.

I believe the FoFiX mod has support for "hammer on" and "pull off" notes, where you only have to strum once. But that only works for certain notes, which will look different. Search for HOPO notes.

GH-style gems would have white/glowing white gems for HO-PO-able notes, while RB-style gems would have smaller gems.
