Some people are offended by being called something they're not. And although nerd isn't technically an insult, it's obvious that you were trying to be insulting when posting that.

noob beating in awesome. everyone does it, and every noob has to deal with it until they are no longer a noob. hell, I had to (maybe not here, but I did). If you can't survive it long enough to emerge from noobishness, you have no place on the internet. And this thread survived for 2 pages because we enjoy being pissed off.
