Progress of FOF 1.3??? - to Rogue_F

Hi,
I'm studying and trying to change some things on some mods, just to get practice with python before you release the FOF 1.3.

But I want to know what you think about ultimate coffee "progress" with his GH3 / RB mod... if you are studying his code, and if you are thinking to use some of his ideas to make FOF 1.3 grow up.... what new things will you implement or improve in FOF 1.3, how developers can see your work, and possibly help you submiting patches.... and basically, what's the progress you made in preparing FOF 1.3 to spread to our community...

Lots of questions to answer, or to ignore...

Yeah, people are trying to make this into an exact replica of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It's not. It's a free program in which you push frets in order to play along to the song, and you can make songs along with it. It's not to push your whammy to the max or get your freak on with awesome HO/POs. I think Frets on Fire 1.3 will just have better ho/pos and more customization.

Kermit is right. This ISN'T Guitar Hero. It doesn't need to be Guitar Hero to be an awesome rhythm game.
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.

Man do you realize how much time and effort people here put into this game? Sure it looks and plays alot like GH or RB but you take away all the fancy mods and pretty pictures and you still have a kick ass game that I can download a huge amount of songs for and customize the hell out of...can you do that with Rockband or Guitar Hero easily?...no you cant. So please go away and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I only want to know what direction the code of FOF 1.3 is taking, and what are the thoughts from his actual developer.

If we can custom FOF the way we want, we could make it more or less like a Guitar Hero, a Rock Band, a Guitar Freak, or a Rubbish Hero 3!

Things I'd like to see in new FoF

- FLAMES (It's called frets on fire anyway)
- New sfx, but similar to the original.
- Intro song, re-recorded. A bit faster with some fat gtr innit! |,,/ And when the intro song ends, I'd like to hear this: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH! Like in csi miami XD

No david caruso tho. Maybe in fof 1.4
