Re: EOF 1.8b26 - Now with RB3 slide, tap, harmonic support
I could probably add that capability to Feedback import. Could you provide some files (which include these solo events) for testing purposes? Certainly: http://www.mediafire.com/?3en6nwcwr8dxoac I marked 4 events. First two are with db's event marker, second two are with db's section marker (they s...

Re: EOF 1.8b26 - Now with RB3 slide, tap, harmonic support
Section markers are just text events in the long run, so they're all stored together. EOF should be importing text events in Feedback files, such events as I understand it are stored within the "[Events]" section of the chart file. I haven't thought much about it before, but I think the s...

Re: EOF 1.8b26 - Now with RB3 slide, tap, harmonic support
Does EOF import events and section markers from feedback in the same way? The only difference I see is that it will put the word "section" before beats marked with a section, and nothing in front of events. Does this really make any difference, as EOF seems to lump "sections" and...

Re: EOF 1.8b25 - Now with slash chord detection
Awesome. Really appreciate it.
And also...maybe "Mark new notes as open hi-hat" and "Mark new notes as pedal hi-hat" features? For middle lane only of course.

Re: EOF 1.8b25 - Now with slash chord detection
Thanks again raynebc, always on top of issues! And of course, another request. I know we have the toggle notes feature for any color, but could we have a "remove" notes feature for each lane? So I could select a large section and remove all of a certain lane from it? Toggle doesn't work be...

Re: EOF 1.8b25 - Now with slash chord detection
I noticed that EOF replaces the song.ini if I import a chart from feedback. There's no problem when I open, modify and save any old notes.mid, but if I import a .chart file it will modify the song.ini, removing all information and replacing it with the information from the .chart file. I either have...

Re: EOF 1.8b25 - Now with slash chord detection
I've read the manual but I can't find anything conclusive...can I get an explanation of the difference between "Drum Roll" and "Special Drum Roll" ? I thought Special was for trills between two lanes...but I can mark notes from 2 lanes as just a "drum roll" and it shows...

Re: EOF 1.8b25 - Now with slash chord detection
Thanks for all the support! It's awesome to see bugs fixed so quickly as well as new features implemented. Also, the new copy/paste default method (where it merges the notes you copy and deletes ones within 2 ms I believe is how it works) has been INSANELY useful! Saves me about a million hours when...

Most users on Feb 14th?
So did anyone notice that we had the most users logged in on February 14th, 2009? That'd be Valentine's Day, at least in the U.S.. I guess all the FoF nerds were forever alone that day haha (myself included)

Re: EOF 1.8b24 - Now with slash chord detection
Good to know on the cymbal stuff. I'll try to look up some dance charting info (I'm sure there are forums dedicated to it somewhere). Also, could we have a feature like "keep all new notes selected"? So when you make new notes, it stays on selection with all the new notes you make. Ex, if ...

Re: EOF 1.8b24 - Now with slash chord detection
I'm still having trouble with the "mark new notes as cymbals." It doesn't work when you are placing a note with another note already on the beatline. It only works when you are placing the cymbal on its own, accompanied by nothing. Hope that makes sense. I also had an idea for charting dan...

Re: EOF 1.8b21 - Now with slash chord detection
I'm wondering, when you mark a cymbal as "pedal" hi-hat, will it not appear unless the player is playing pro? For Phase Shift I mean. Most of the time you wouldn't chart open hi-hat, but since we can mark it as pedal hi-hat then you would, only if it didn't appear if the player didn't have...

Re: EOF 1.8b21 - Now with slash chord detection
So what you're saying is with the option on, we would have the choice to include expert+ notation in the notes_rbn.mid? So we turn it on, save, and that notes_rbn has expert+ notation, plays like single bass for FoFiX. Then turn it off, save again, and that notes_rbn.mid can be the expert+ chart for...

Re: EOF 1.8b21 - Now with slash chord detection
The notes_rbn file should be equivalent to the expert+ MIDI in that all double bass drum notes are marked as regular bass drum notes. This will allow people to use notes_rbn to play double bass version charts on FoF as you suggest. Please let me know if you find that notes_rbn doesn't mark the note...
