Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
I heard this rumor that a certain member might be creating a new FoFiX side-project in order to brush the rust off their coding and graphics skills. If all goes well it seems they will also attempt to help Weirdpeople with the rebirth of FoFiX. That same person is also fully grateful of Weird...

Re: An idea regarding dead threads
The problem I have with a reply-lock on old threads is the potential for the forum to feel unwelcoming. If a new member joins and sees every topic he/she goes to as locked, there is a good chance total interest would be lost. I understand an old topic bump is annoying, but I honestly believe a compl...

Re: An idea regarding dead threads
When I last logged in, I believe there was a warning for someone bumping a thread that was older than... some arbitrary amount of time, that forced them to confirm that they wanted to post in an inactive thread. Is that still a thing, or did it get dropped? Or did I imagine the whole thing? No, you...

In the source wiki its there, but when it gets loaded in to the thread it goes away.
Did this ever work before? I'll probably have to use a script to make this possible.

The "Jump to post" function should now be working properly. If anyone finds any more bugs please post them here!

Function "jump to page"... doesn't work :( I enter the page number and press button "Go", but nothing happens. And some images don't appear. We will look into the "jump to page" function. Sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime. Which images are not showing for you?

Re: How do I resume a chain of HO/PO (tappable) notes after failing one?
The general rule for rhythm games is that you have to re-strum the next note to resume a chain of HO/PO notes. However, the system within original FoF may be a bit buggy. If it indeed has issues reading the next note as a hit, perhaps try to let go of the fret buttons completely then try to hit whic...

Re: The Great Wikidot update of 2016
It hasn't (yet) become a priority, but perhaps we could pull the wiki over to fretsonfire.org and host it "locally." I could probably even set up shared account credentials like I did with the Wikiposts so that users wouldn't need to make more accounts. I agree with this idea, for the mos...

Re: fretsonfire.org Forums are back online!
One improvement I would do is to make a clear difference between what's been said in a post (the actual message a user is posting), and all the other stuff, such as name and time when the post was posted, title, signature... Right now, it's really easy to know when a new post by a new user is comin...

Re: 48 h that I don't sleep for a track of your drum proj 4
I now have a 48 hour headache from reading that. :scared: What you are trying to do is take a fof drum midi and make it playable within a vsti, so you can get a faux separated drum track.. i think?! Or maybe you just ate too many tacos, I can't tell. Obtain the program REAPER. Import the fof midi tr...

Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
The version check code itself is clean. The problem is the version.py file within fretwork is missing the dev notation.
If you open up fretwork/version.py and change the line to the following it should work.

Code: Select all

I have a feeling that I should know this, but I don't, lol.
Authoring, charting, fretting, note tracking. Different words all with the same meaning.
