Re: Frets On Fire not working mac 10.6.8
Your best bet is running it from the source but that might take some time and wasting your HDD space too.

Re: Auto-Fretter
It is not impossible, but it is impossible for this kind of game. Our charts have their note placement rules unlike the other games which have no rules whatsoever (e.g. O2Jam where most custom charts are total BS). But I heard that Phase Shift has added a new mode called 'dance'. Then it's possible ...

If you're on Windows, it will automatically search and install the driver for your controller. On other OS (such as Linux), you might need to install extra libraries for controller support.

Re: Auto-Fretter
It's not impossible. I have seen a lot games doing this lately. I don't know how they did it. Maybe by calculating the average BPM of the song. But they are mostly rhythm games unlike FoF or GH or RB where the notes can be anywhere.

RF-mod 4.15 + Capo's Mod (update1_24/10/12)
Because I am bored, I made this. I doubt anybody is interested with this though. -- Replaced Numeric codes with NumPy's (Numeric is just way too outdated and I can't run the game with it either). - Ported board speed multiplier from RF-mod 4.29 (where Alex actually merged Capo's codes to his). - Por...

Thank you ray, much appreciated.
EDIT: EOF now has dB-like input. Thank you very much for this, I won't be needing dB anymore I guess.

Re: cant rud FOF Alarian mod
Yes, it's a Windows 7 issue. The only way is to run it from the source code as it doesn't need to load any Windows binary DLLs.
But Alarian is very old and out-dated. An updated version of it is no longer called Alarian, but FoFiX. http://fofix.googlecode.com/

Man, I need this (again) but Sendspace is just so annoying with its "full capacity" thing. Can you please host it somewhere else? Or anyone?
And congratulations on the long awaited stable release after 2 years (it's been 2 years, I didn't even noticed).

Re: A goal of mine
I've read this post exactly on 17th of April but I don't know what to say about this.
And I still don't until now. Good luck though. When I see people like you mentioned, only one word came up, 'bastard'. Sorry. Yeah.

Re: What have I missed?
I noticed that the forums started getting inactive when the big downtime happened sometime late 2008. And the forums eventually migrated to phpBB and that's when activity started decreasing as people thought FoFFF was gone for good.

Oh hey SketchMan, welcome back.
Back on topic, have tried loading your MIDIs with the latest EOF? You might be able to do some modifications with it and export it to support the latest MIDI specifications.

Re: Best FoF Mod... Opinions?
For me, Rf-mod is undoubtedly the best. It's the only mod where I have so much fun with. FoFiX too, but too bad, it can only reach the second place. But for most people it would be FoFiX because of its customization abilities and have better support with current MIDI charts (though most you can find...
