Go into File>Preferences>Import/Export and you can disable several of the "Save separate ... files" options.

It's not on by default, so my best guess is that you had inadvertently enabled it at some point after the feature was added.

If that setting was enabled, did disabling it resolve the issue you were describing? If not, I'd probably need a copy of your eof.cfg file to test with.

Make sure you didn't enable the "Add new notes to selection" preference, because that would mean it's the expected behavior.

The last time I used EOF in Windows 10 it worked just fine. Using a nearly two year old build of EOF is a likely problem though. If it still doesn't import the file after Help>About confirms you're using the 9-28-2018 release, please send me the MIDI and/or .chart files in question so I can test.

1.8RC12 is too old. Make sure you've added the 9-28-2018 hotfix.

I think of Discord more like an IRC/forum hybrid as it has more bells and whistles like pasting inline images/videos, searching the entire post history of a channel, voice-chat support, etc.

Presumably there's not enough demand for such a thing. I think the people who spend that much time rhythm gaming/authoring/etc have gotten involved in other existing forums/Discords by now.
