My two songs were made using your method, Puppetz. :) While I'm at it, I think I will add something to this discussion about BPM/sync. The way I tell if the BPM/sync is right actually involves the clap feature of db. After I did each riff according to the .mid, I listen to it with the clap feature o...

It all started with a conversation I had on a Counter Strike server some 8 months ago (I think). Someone had mentioned an "open source Guitar Hero" or something named Frets on Fire. At the time, I had been too high on caffeine to give even the slightest thought to this. Much later, on a boring Septe...

The Guitar Hero songs and Blackfate's songs are good jumping off points. Personally, the first song I did well on was Scars by Papa Roach. It is a VERY easy song that will get you used to simple chord changes. Look in Blackfate's Papa Roach thread for this one. If you want to learn HO/POs, try Godzi...

That is a ridiculous idea.
By messing with the multiplier you make it impossible to post good scores online without the mod this would be contained in.
The only solution would be to have all this implemented in the base game which I doubt will happen.

I had this problem too.
It is related the the .ini file.
Go to (Driveletter)/Documents and settings/(username)/application data/fretsonfire. Delete the contents of that folder. It will work after that.

If you aren't using Windows XP, this probably won't do a darned thing.

Quite the tutorial, Puppetz.
I'm going to give this technique a whirl.
Maybe I'll have a new song to release if I get it right :).

Depends.
If puppetz made it, I play on the lowest difficulty.
Otherwise, I play amazing.
