Re install frets on fire and make sure that in the begining when it says choose conponents, that all the boxes are checked. This will install all the folders you need.

there are some torrents allready in tune posting. You could post the torrents there. I wouldnt use the torrent anyway.... for me, they take a very long time for to download (days). I thought they were suppost to be fast. (must be just my computer)

if you want to rig together a set of drums you could just set the keyboad on the ground and run poles down to the keys (but have the poles spread out on the keyboard instead of f1 f2 ect.). you can have 4 poles with "drums" on them. by drums I mean buckets, frisbees or whatever. I allready made drum songs. I never released them. I used green for the pedal and purple for the symbol. I set the keys to match a drum set. exactly.. 60s and 70s. 80s is hair metal.
I also agree about the bass. One thing that i like is that the songs have their own style of beat. you can crank up the bass and tell what song it is right away.

Here is a link that has some midi files on it. Just search for the song or artist in the upper left search box.

As for the mp3 to midi...

I dont know if you can do that but I do know that you can convert midi to mp3.

If by cds you mean mp3s you still have to convert them to .ogg format to use them in the game.
One link I know of for notes only is keyboardsonfire Just scroll down to frets only releases.
