Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
The RB2 shader tails work fine for me, others don't, but I never knew what they looked like in the first place. As for that bug, it looks like there is quite a bug, I never implemented if there was an import error for that file. To get it working I guess make a blank file called CustomRMLayers.py in...

Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
Where is it having trouble? If it's just going in-game you might need to turn off shaders. If you can't see your song library or it's having trouble loading any song, try deleting your SongCache.sqlite since some things were changed between this version and alpha1. It runs fine in linux and windows ...

Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
I was just looking at that a few days ago, I'll look into some more and see if I can fix it. I think the problem comes down to not having a profile selection option, and we seem to be dependent on that now with the lobby system. Once we have the player class cleaned up even further I'd like to imple...

Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
'sup guys, it's out. As quoted from the facebook page I was going to wait until midnight, but it's just too darn exciting. Alpha 2 is out and uploaded! Here's the link to the downloads. Click on the win32 package if you want an executable binary, click on the tag v4.0.0alpha2 if you want the source ...

Re: Keyboard on RB3? How about FoFiX!?!?!
With all the stuff documented now compared to back then, it shouldn't be too hard. Honestly, it's easier to implement than the Pro-Guitar just because there is less variables to keep track of. One can almost just take the Guitar code, copy-pasta it, add more strings and stuff like that and you have ...

Re: FoFiX 4.0.0 Development Thread
A lot of colleges and schools were starting up within the past week or two. I personally haven't been on irc in awhile because I've been busy and mostly in my free time I've been working on improving my game instead of FoFiX. I can honestly say that my interest is starting to fade a bit mainly becau...

Re: I need help its like not working
Not being able to hit triples is normally just a keyboard issue. What you can do is create a custom controller profile to use where the fret buttons are the number keys instead of the Function keys, that normally works on a lot of keyboards. Alternatively you can create a controller profile for a gu...

Re: I need help its like not working
Is the flashing only happening when playing a song? If so try turning off shaders, they normally tend to be the issue for many users.

Re: Battlestations
First time seeing this thread and I was surprised that I have the same case as Amak. I think they slightly changed the design since, though, since my front is flipped horizontally. To make it even more awkward I also have a Sapphire sticker on the front of mine :D However I'm running AMD instead. I ...

Re: Rock Band 2 Theme SVN Doesn't Work
After revision 84 the svn was based on the standards for FoFiX 4.0 but it's been so long since he's updated that it won't even work with the FoFiX git repo.

Re: MegaLight Version 4 -Discussion Thread-
A minimal rockmeter was added to the mods in FoFiX 4.0 so those who like taking videos to show off charts and video backgrounds, it might be better suited for you. It doesn't look as polished or complete as the full rockmeter though, so decide what you want to see when you play. The old MLv4 rockmet...

I, myself, am still planning on going for the good ol' HD 5770, it's rather low power and delivers decent performance. Everything is going to look heavenly after playing on a gma 950 for 3 years.

Re: The E3 Thread
Well then they shouldn't have released it so soon. If you were listening during Sony's Vita segment the Uncharted guys said they had 2 years with the hardware already, that's pretty solid.
