Re: Key not responding correctly
Just ignore that. It won't make any difference. That happens to me, also.

Re: rhythm.ogg
You might be able to filter out the vocals using Audacity 1.3's vocal removal system. It's not perfect, but it has worked well with some songs that I've tried. All it does is take away whatever is recorded to the center of the track, so it only works with stereo tracks, and only if the vocals are re...

Re: EOF 1.55
:2thumbsup: Good stuff. I just wanted to make a suggestion. Would it be possible to create more contrast between the color of the notes that are "selected and unselected iin the 3d preview window? It's a bit hard to see the notes when there is a sequence of fast notes. Especially the yellow one.

Re: First note image missing in some songs
You might have to move that note back a few ticks. Sometimes the game has a problem with notes that start exactly at the beginning of the song.

Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
since my Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 X-plorer guitar and the bass pedal on my Rock Band drum set broke, i have been using the keyboard to play all instruments. Question: Why don't you just use your spacebar to replace the bass pedal, and play the rest of the pads normally? Or maybe I'm just ignorant... ...

It wouldn't take up any more space than the sound effects that are already in the game, eh?

Re: How to tell what difficulty song has?
I just use Anvil Studio (a free midi editor) to remove the phantom difficulties and tracks. I don't care if I get a new hash. I just want my FoF songs done properly. If you press the blue fret button, it should change the difficulty that is shown. For example, if only Amazing was fretted, NIL will s...

Re: Changing Backgrounds (animated, non picture backgrounds)
I would be curious to know what motivation was behind the removal of the stage.ini system in Alarian's mod. Yes, I've always wondered about that myself. I mean, the mod is great, and it's the best thing that every could be happening for FoF, but taking out one of the greatest features of FoF versio...

Re: Party Coop
True, but in most cases you won't have more than 2 controllers and that should probably be a option. "Hey guys party at my house, bring your controllers" sounds a little awkward IMO  . Seems perfectly logical to me. I bring my own multi-taps and controllers when I go over to a frien...

Re: Plastic guitars vs Real guitars
I agree with what rud said about the piano and GH being related. The game really does seem to depend more on a key-pressing background than a string-squeezing background.

Re: frets on fire tabs?
I don't think anyone has tabs for those songs. I doubt anyone will make tabs for them. I could probably make tabs for Defy The Machine. I mean, honestly, it's not the most complex song out there. I'm surprised you can't just pick it out by ear. I doubt I could ever make tabs for Bang Bang, but I cou...

Re: worst chart in ghwt?
the chart didn't, it was so ridiculously overcharted I wouldn't say it was ridiculously overcharted. Overcharted, yes. Ridiculously, no. Anything that may have been overcharted actually made it easier. What exactly about it was overcharted? The scratches? There's soemthing wrong with charting scrat...

Re: Mark difficulty tracks in song.ini
i was refering to the fact that a ten minute song with all difficulties fretted could have enough note in the MEDIUM track to classify it as expert. You're in a completely different ball-park. They're not talking about classifying difficulties by counting notes. They're talking about REMOVING certa...

Re: What program do I use to map drums?
I use feedback too, I think that EOF is a really easy way to make a really bad chart, and freetar...well, EOF is like Freetar, except it's actually possible to make a good chart. Feedback is so difficult to use that by the time you do figure it out you feel like it'd be a waste of effort to make a ...
