Re: Actual DLC
Didnt someone make a database a while back for every to upload their songs too? http://fretsonfire.wikidot.com/custom-songs That's just links to threads, that link to file sharing sites. Song threads and file-sharing sites greatly complicate things. We can't host a song database due to copyright la...

Re: Desperate situation
The GH 3 theme works for 3.100, while it also has support for newer features that will be available in 3.120.

Re: Desperate situation
So then I tried FoFix. everything worked fine, even in the faster sections, except for the fact that there were absolutely no Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs so I had to hit every single note. Then I saw a thread with the GHIII design for the FoFix 3.120 version and I thought maybe then the hammer-ons and...

Re: Handicap
I hate the handicap thing. I have to use the tightest and most annoying hopos, cause if I use sloppy ones, I have a handicap and it takes a big part of the score, like 70%. Is there a way to have a sloppy engine without handicap? And they're annoying because it's harder? The handicap is there becau...

Re: Auto-Fretter
No problem lol. Anyone know if this could work? Well as pointed out, tabs are not alway accurate, this is mostly syncing though. We're not interested in absolute note heights, but rather relative. I don't think it'd be very easy to do, it might be doable, but quite hard. Simple chords might be quit...

Re: Better Winking Emoticon?
I think it looks fine, but a animated one would be better. We already have animated emoticons anyway.

Re: Frets On Fire Competition
Aye Fretsweb (FoF contest server) . You'll need to have a server with php and mysql, I think that covers the dependencies. You shuold be able to set it up on most free webhosts, but I recomend to not invite the whole city and all their relatives as free webhosts don't like intense cpu usage, so keep...

No sorry, FoFiX needs 3D. Most of the graphics are 2D but they're placed on 3D objects in the "scenes".

Re: reset fofix 3.0.30 settings (linux)
FoF and FoFiX are written in python so you don't need to compile, before FoFiX 3.025 there was a dependency on amanith, which was very hard to compile and it was just much more convinient to disitrbute the game as a binary so that not everyone had to set up amanith. Normally most python applications...

Re: reset fofix 3.0.30 settings (linux)
Which version? 32 bit built with python 2.6? I'm running from source myself, anyway, when you start frets on fire, try appending the verbose flag ./fretsonfire -v (or ./fofix, whatever the case might be). I'm going to download the 32bit binaries and see if I run into any problems myself. Edit...
