Reality check: It is a knock-off, and the GH and RB themes make FoFix even more of a knock-off. Somebody needs to bring some all original content to FoF.
There's nothing wrong with calling it a knock-off, since that's what it is.

We would end up like Guitar Zero if Guitar Hero found out about FoFiX, so i think we should just put regular Ol' FOF on there.
Because FoFix looks like Guitar Hero and Rockband, just like Guitar Zero looks like Guitar Hero. That's what he said.

Re: AGH!! (Sync Problems)
Well, let's see your charts, and if the sync is good, we'll let you off the hook, Tormann71 ;) Another very important thing is to make sure your software is synced and especially make sure your FoF is synced if you're using that to test your songs. IMO, it's simpler just to listen to the song, adjus...

Re: using regular controller for frets on fire
You shouldn't have to hit them that hard. For whatever reason, sometimes my hits don't register unless I use JoyToKey and bind my drum pads to keyboard keys. It works perfectly that way. In frets on fire I map my drum keys to some out of the way keys like the 1-5 on the numpad, and then in JoyToKey ...

Re: using regular controller for frets on fire
Well, my MadCatz portable RB drumkit works just fine. I'm not sure if there's a difference between the portable RB and portable RB2. I tried it with my sisters laptop, but it didn't work. I was kind of worried until I took it home and plugged it into my desktop and the window "new device is ins...

Re: What notes type do you enjoy playing most?
I would play the GH style notes, but they always make my game lag for some reason, so I just use the RB ones. I personally prefer the RF3 notes.

I think he's asking for LEGAL songs fretted by the original artists. Try going to keyboardsonfire.net and fansonfire.tk. They have a few songs like that.

Re: patterned-vocals support - a standard to start charting?
Am I the only one who understands what this guy is talking about? He's suggesting that we implement a system that DOES NOT DETECT PITCH but only detects whether there is INPUT or SILENCE. So it would be based on saying the words (or any other noise) at the right time, but not at the correct pitch. I...

Re: Keyboard: The New Way To Surpass GH
It seems that the code modders are not worried so much about surpassing GH, but cloning it.
This would be a good idea. If I ever did fret a keyboard song, I'd probably use the two drum charts to do it.

Re: You Might be a FoF Addict if...
I personally prefer RFMod to Fofix in terms of graphics. I just can't get it to run smoothly for me.
You might be an FoF addict when during a conversation (or any other time of the day) you randomly think "Frets On Fire" for no reason whatsoever.

It's always good to be well-rounded.
