I have found a fix. I took my video card to the drivers I had before and now it works fine. You might want to make a sticky for this since it seems to have happened to quite a few people from what I've seen in previous topics. I deleted every scrap of Fof off of my computer and reinstalled it. I still have the weird boxes for words

either way will work, i used up left and down left

strum should be enter, so set the up and down left functions to enter. if you don't have up and down left click the "Others" tab on the side and check all 3 of the boxes, after that you should have the up and down left functions

My fof worked fine up until a few days ago when the visuals went all haywire on me. I haven't installed any new mods or changed my options in any way. I have tried re downloading and renstalling the game with out any luck. Here's a screen shot of the game. This used to be the main menu.
