The idea basiclly is to learn how to play guitar. One would need to start out with really simple tunes. Should be a no-brainer to do this then. I'm guessing somebody already have some software to tune their guitars. Hopefully there are open source versions of that too, so I don't have to write to much code.

One would of course let it be quite fuzzy in it's deciding of tones. Thinking artificial neural networks.

Hey, From a techincal perspective, shouldn't it be possible to let the user have a real guitar and let him play for real and only use audio input to figure out what he is doing? Would it require quite a good mic? Electric guitar? Is a tone always inside an given range? Can somebody who actually know...
