for your first question: The USB is for charging the batteries in the guitar only, not meant for PC compatibility. So, you need the adapter, but I dont have a link for it. Maybe someone has one...just use the search button, I'm pretty sure there is a thread about this. and, I didnt understand your 2...

Isn't it the same way in GH? I mean, you hit the note right, you just didnt hold it...
so it counted the hit but did not add any ''hold'' points. Not sure but, GH is like that if I recall

I've had some leak after using FoF myself.
Last week, the pyton application was actualy running twice, using 200MBs of RAM both!!!
So, 400MB of RAM was being used by leaking python, and my windows was sooo slow...

next time, try and see if its not it?
