Raph666 has asked me to remove any work he has done from the next versions of Guitar Hero Compilation Mod. See, I actually can read, and it says here that YOU asked him to take it down. Part of open source means that others can take your work and incorporate it into theirs. So, yes, you are being a...

If someone asks you not to use their work, doesn't that mean that it's no longer open source? While I respect the work that he has done, shame on Raph for being a code ****. Also, since Frets on Fire is released under the GNU General Public License, that means that Raph is actually breaking copyrigh...

Ha ha, I believe it was Mark Twain who said "There are three types of lies. Lies, damned lies, and statistics." Anyway, we obviously can't trust polls, but I'm glad people are at least chiming in as to the feasibility of getting the whammy bar up and running. I really think we can do it, and I appre...

Jake2k3, I was reading Raph666's threads but it seemed like the quote I posted earlier (incidentally it was from ThatJon) indicated that if we found a sound library (Option A = FMODEx) it might not be that hard. Raph666 asks many good questions that hopefully someone else on here might be able to an...

I guess I thought it was a clone because that's what its wiki entry and every news site that mentions it has said about. But I don't want to argue about that. Let's just get the whammy bar working! It would be a cool feature and good addition and it seems feasible using the method I have described a...

I really want this to happen so I'm going to try and post as much information as I am able that might assist someone in figuring this out. I found the following code for writing pitch shift scripts for FMODEx (which can be implemented in python using pySonicEx: Enumeration ; FMOD_DSP_PITCHSHIFT #FMO...

After more reading, this seems like it's totally doable. FMODEx lists "Real-time pitch shifter (changes pitch not playback speed)" as one of its features.
It's true I don't know much about python, but I don't see why this couldn't be done using PysonicEx.

If someone feels like reimplementing all the sound stuff using PySonic/FMOD, we can have a whammy bar.
What would this require?

ok i went researching a little bit... you CAN actually have sound effects in python. http://docs.python.org/tut/node8.html goto section 6.4 (packages) Listen to the man! It looks like this link is real. Just a little clarification here: This page is a tutorial about libraries. This isn't talking ab...

I know this has been discussed 100000000000 times, but people are going to keep asking until something has been done about it. Let's get the whammy bar functional without allowing it to change the score. I'm tired of people coming over and playing FOF and asking why the whammy bar doesn't work. GZ h...

Duckmeister, great mod. I had to switch out the Chocise intro though because it got really annoying after the first five mintues. My only rec would be that you don't set that as a the default. Also, I know you sorted all the songs in your download, but I just ported mine over from another install so...

Help please with the 360 explorer. I followed the instructions at http://www.althack.com/2007....troller and got to the key settings part and inputted everything. Everything is working fine except for the fret keys. I had to mess around with them and instead of 12345, I so far have 3245. My questio...
