when i plug it in and it searches for the program for it to install on the internet, when it browers it, it never finds anything it searches for like two seconds then says can not be found or something like that

I plugged the guitar in the usb port and it said it was installed, now, you know how you have to push the little xbox sign on the guitar for it to turn on? do you have to turn it on for the computer because it wont work for me and do i have to do more stuff for it to work?

alright so i plugged my 260 guitar into it and it said it is installed but when i push the little 360 button on it to turn on it wont work or when i try to play frets on fire is there programs i have to download?
