Is it possible to fret songs using a Mac? i'd like to at least try to give something back to the FoF community rather than just downloading everyone else's stuff...

hmm...my fretsonfire.ini is empty....and i haven't emptied it....

so i have a mac and vmware fusion/boot camp so i also run Vista. i have a 2 gig song collection on the mac partition and i don't want to copy it over to the windows side though i can because i'm running out of room. i have my songs folder in a shared files folder, and in order to access that easily ...

i'd love to get a soad neck, it would totally perfect FoF for me. well maybe not perfect but it'd make it better. and if you make one/find one/whatever, please make it scroll smooth (the top and bottom match up so it's like one continuous pic).

I was just trying to figure this out. The select songs library setting seems to only work if the folder containing all your songs is named "songs". Otherwise, I couldn't select it the right way. so as far as i am concerned...your name is now Jesus. or God. or Satan. or whatever the hell you want it...

thanks....but not working. since i have a folder that holds all those songs, pressing enter (also my pick key) or 1 (my first note key) just opens the folder, it doesn't use that folder as the songs directory

The symlink does work, but it's not a permanent fix. It's just a workaround for now. A symlink is almost like a shortcut. The difference is the OS sees the symlink as if it were the actual file/folder. To make it, you have to use Terminal. The command for a symlink is: ln -s "actual file" "symlink ...

Have you made a song folder in data and used that as a song library? yeah and i can do that it's just that i also keep a seperate folder as a backup, and i'd rather just be able to download a song and put it in one folder rather than several. and there is in settings->rf-mod settings->game settings...

hey i'm new maybe i totally missed something and this is known not to work and won't, but the 'select song library' thing doesn't work for me...or at least i can't figure out how to do it
