Re: Game play question concerning frets and picks
I believe the FoFiX mod has support for "hammer on" and "pull off" notes, where you only have to strum once. But that only works for certain notes, which will look different. Search for HOPO notes.

Re: open fret
How would you handle a note when the song calls for an open fret, but you have the option off? Do we just ignore that note?

Re: rhythm.ogg
I could remove vocals from the main track, and then boost the 440Hz to 3500Hz range from the results to generate a better guitar.ogg file, but I wouldn't have a good way that I know of to create a proper song.ogg file that will match up perfectly now. Does anyone know of a way to do difference/arith...

Re: Auto-difficulty notes changer - Don't know the right words
The problem is that it seems so very few fretters implement the lower difficulties. Ideally, fretters should manually do all the difficulties for all the instruments. However, for the countless songs where this isn't the case, this would be better than nothing.

Re: open fret
Forgive some thread necromancy, but the "What ideas have already been pronounced here?" sticky links here for discussion on open frets. Now that Guitar Hero: World Tour offers support for open frets, I assume there would be higher demand/interest in adding open frets to FoF. This thread is...

Re: Song difficulty calculator - Something actually worth making
As far as backwards compatibility goes, I believe Vista 32-bit should run this, as it should still have the service to run 16-bit code. 64 bit versions of Windows (Windows x64, Vista x64, and Windows 7 x64) don't have the ability to run 16-bit code at all. Unfortunately, all I run is 64-bit OSes sin...

It looks like this has been suggested a few times, however it doesn't look like anyone is working on this. It seems like most people only fret the highest difficulties, so I think this would be a great feature.

Re: Software to make a drum song?
Open the file in FeedBack (db) and then press F1, F2, F3, etc. to cycle through the tracks. Get to the drums track and edit then place notes there.

Re: FoF Lyric Converter 1.54
Perhaps a stupid question, but is there a repository online where I can find lyrics that are already synched in time, or do I need to use VividLyrics to synch them myself, and then use the converter?

Add Lyrics
If I want to fret a new song, what is the best way to add lyrics? If I add the lyrics in via Guitar Pro, will the lyrics be in the midi file I output?
Is there a good tool to generate the lyrics script.txt?

Re: rhythm.ogg
Well, this is the best I could find via Google: http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46047 It allows me to create a separate "guitar" track, except most of the vocals are also on it. That is far from perfect, but it is enough to create an audible signal when you miss notes. Howev...

rhythm.ogg
Many people just take the mp3, export it to guitar.ogg and also use the same file for song.ogg. What I want to know is how others separate the guitar portion from the song, and have a proper guitar.ogg file that plays when you hit the notes, a song.ogg, a rhythm.ogg and a drum.ogg file. Is there a w...

The package says 3.100 and not SVN, so I guess it is a pull of 3.100.
