Re: FoFiX and Windows 7
No, RAM isn't the problem. I did a clean install to Windows 7 x64 from XP Pro and now FoFiX runs like absolute crap, whereas it used to run excellently. I'm here with four gigs of memory and experiencing this same issue. Could it be that it isn't meant for a 64 bit OS?

Re: FoFiX Vocal Questions
From my experience when that happens it's because the phrase marker starts right when the note starts. And for some reason FoFiX can't read that. I make the phrase start about a 16th note to a beat early How exactly do you do that? I'm using EOF and the only method I can tell to create phrase marke...

Re: FoFiX Vocal Questions
I understand the pitch issues still in the works, but what about the problem of lyrics being invisible altogether? They exist because FoFiX scores you badly on them, but they simply aren't appearing on the screen. I'm working on my first vocal track and have marked phrase sections accurately, though...

Re: Vocals Freeze on "Preparing Note Phrases"
Then that makes sense and eliminates that. Still don't understand why the vocal parts won't load in FoFiX, though. Everything about vocal creation seems easy enough to do, yet it just doesn't want to play.-- Edit: Wed Sep 08, 2010 3:45 pm --Cancel that. Got it going. Looks like this happens when you...

Re: Vocals Freeze on "Preparing Note Phrases"
Having the same problem with it going nowhere on "preparing note phrases". I've tried both of these methods so far: marked the notes and remade the song.ini, but they change nothing with the problem. In fact, the only oddity I see might not be an issue at all. Whenever I load my song in EO...

Re: Multiple songs.oggs?
Not really. What he's saying is that he needs multiple song.ogg files, and I'm a bit interested in this, too. Your explanation still only talks about using a single song.ogg file for every choice of instrument. Let's say I'm playing guitar.ogg and I've made song.ogg with the guitar muted (for playin...

Re: Frets On Fire wiki site
Ah-ha. I remember having found that page before, but didn't know the password. Mwah. Thanks. Heh, I'm an idiot for not seeing it right in the first post. Although I wasn't looking for the password to begin with, just a thread talking about the wiki. It was only after that I remembered I'd gotten to ...

Re: Frets On Fire wiki site
This is all cool and awesome, but how do you edit the pages to add songs to the database? I have an account, but there are absolutely no editing links at the bottom of any page I go to.

Re: HoPo Problem with EOF
Well, I've noticed that as long as you keep things tidy and track your beat changes (bookmarking them helps), it's easy. But yea, all I did was reverse the process. Fortunately, my BPM choices are spot on and I already had everything working perfectly by grid placement. As long as you stay pretty ac...

Re: HoPo Problem with EOF
What if I don't want notes to be HoPo? I'm currently working on a song that's at roughly 43.3 BPMs and most notes you'd consider normal distance (1/4th beat notes per measure, not fast strummers) are turning out to be automatic HoPo notes. Anything I can do about that besides turning them off comple...

Re: Audacity problem - chipmunk audio playback
Did you make sure that they where stereo instead of mono? Check this Link Maybe I'm not understanding something. Both of these tutorials sound like they contradict themselves to me. I need to go back to the beginning. Can someone explain the original tutorial link I posted here , after the last few...

Audacity problem - chipmunk audio playback
So I'm using this tutorial to create music that somewhat separates the guitar from the rest of the track to an extent. it actually works fine up to the remaining few steps where they don't tell you what to do last. So, using my brain I assumed to delete tracks 2 and 3, leaving track 1 and exporting ...

Re:
Can you live without solo buttons in FoF? I can't, haha. Can't make use of that fifth key without having my fingers on the solo buttons. But I'm wondering the same thing. I'm guessing not, but EOF has no current way of making notes contained inside a solo event playable without strumming, then, jus...

Re: EOF - No background track?
Well, as long as it can be done, I'm happy. I never would've figured out that manual method of doing it, since the original editor gave you the option right from the start. Thanks.

EOF - No background track?
I just recently joined up with this scene and jumped right into fretting music. After making moderate progress with the original FoF built in editor, I've switched over to EOF and it's a dream come true by comparison. The only thing I've noticed missing is the ability to run both an instrument track...
