Re: Live Studio Sessions (Updated 11/24/2014: Now for Androi
The Android version utilizes on-screen controls. The fret buttons are located on the top of the screen and the strum bar is located on the right of the screen in the middle. To play notes, you must have your fingers on the correct fret buttons and move your thumb across the strum bar. Your thumb has...

Re: Live Studio Sessions (Updated 9/21/2014, Now for Android
Just uploaded the Android version. I will upload new builds for the other platforms soon. Once I verify that the crashing problem is solved, I can move on to adding more features.

Re: Live Studio Sessions
Alright. I'm not having any issues on Windows 7. I'll have to see if I can get a Windows 8 test environment set up.

Re: Live Studio Sessions
Which operating system are you using? Sounds like a bug. The program wouldn't start at all if you were missing runtimes.

Live Studio Sessions (Updated 11/24/2014: Now for Android)
Update 11/24: Added support for sorting by collection. Simply add a 'collection.ini' to the root of a collection with this format: [collection] name=Name of Collection Songs will also be able to be divided into tiers by adding a 'tier' setting to the 'song.ini' file. Other sorting options will also ...

Re: fof fofix dead ?????????
Yes, FoF and FoFiX are dead... but they will live on in a new project we will be announcing in the near future! I don't have many details to share yet, but I can tell you the project will be open source and will have ports available for Mac, Linux, Windows, and Android with the potential for an iOS ...

Re: EOF 1.8RC7 - Now with spectrogram
Allegro is trying to open the MIDI device through ALSA and it is failing. Maybe you could try changing line 3535 of main.c to: if(install_sound(DIGI_AUTODETECT, MIDI_NONE, NULL)) If that works then there is either a bug in Allegro or Ubuntu's ALSA implementation. Append: Apparen...

Re: EOF 1.8RC7 - Now with spectrogram
Apparently there is a dynamic version of libogg installed on my system that is getting linked instead of the static version. I deleted that and recompiled it and it is working now. I have uploaded the new build here: EOF 1.8 RC 7 Mac OS X (10.5+) Thanks for letting me know about this. It was affecti...

Re: EOF 1.8RC7 - Now with spectrogram
There would be no point in doing that. The only reason I brought it up is because of the potential for confusion. I agree that pasting at the cursor position is logical and the best way to do it. I still think it's a good idea to make a note of the new paste functionality changes. I will be putting ...

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram
True, I'm just referring to the release notes for v1.8. The RC stuff is kind of beta so people should expect to run into these kinds of issues. Some people might be moving from 1.71 to 1.8 when it is released and this change will confuse them. It confused me and I have been mostly keeping up with th...

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram
I'm going to try to look at it soon. Append: Okay, I figured out the problem. New paste is actually working, it is just that I expected the old behavior of automatically placing the notes starting from the beginning of the beat where the song position marker is (new paste now starts pasting from the...

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram
I'm getting this issue on the latest revision as well. I started a new chart on a freshly installed copy. The keyboard shortcuts and menu both give the same results.

Re: EOF 1.8b36 - Now with tempo map storage/export
I think program can make human work, just rules(algorithms) needed. Charting requires making many judgment calls, something a computer can't do. This topic has been discussed before. Maybe, if someone charted pro guitar, there could be an algorithm to downchart that to 3/4/5 lanes. With pro guitar ...

Re: EOF 1.8b34 - Now with Guitar Hero import
If nothing else, it provides more options until a MIDI based timing can be implemented. Agreed. I just wanted to explain why that feature never got finished. At least one Feedback user was wanting to migrate to EOF and use it like that. It just seemed to me like it would cause a lot of people to co...
