Re: Where's all us old members at?
Forums just aren't where it's at anymore. My forum days have moved over to discord servers.

Re: fofix for python3
FWIW, there still are a couple of maintainers over on the main FoFiX github and they have a pending task of porting the game to Python 3.
I'm sure they'd appreciate the help via pull request if that's your thing!

Re: Where's all us old members at?
I love taking some time once every couple years to go back and look at how insufferable I was on here. Crazy to think I joined this forum when I was 15, and I'm almost 30 now. Something about the length of time in-between feels like it happened so fast. Hope you are all doing well. Eeyyyyy, I know ...

Re: Can a Mogg file be "Ogged"?
Most likely a mogg made as a custom song for one of these games.
You will only find multitracks for files released for retail games by the makers of the games such as Rock Band, Guitar Hero, etc.

Re: Can a Mogg file be "Ogged"?
Import the Mogg into a DAW that can read them (REAPER can, I believe audacity can as well)
Once imported you'll have multiple tracks. You can the export the track you want to a wav file or whatever format you prefer.

REAPER should have the ability to natively read Moggs as well. It will even ask you if you want it to import the tempo mapping if you import the notes.mid file along with the moggs, which I don't think Audacity will do.

Re: The NEW FretsOnFire - Python 3 Edition (Working Title) - Help Wanted!
Reinventing the wheel on your own is no small feat. It's worth pointing out that FoFiX is still actively developed, albeit slowly, over on GitHub by a small team. Might be worth sourcing from that instead of whatever public release you found from 10 years ago, or better yet, submitting some pull req...

Still at sweetwater, eh? I remembered you worked there back in the day but I've been off FB for years. You should find me on discord, Rappy. Lysdestic#8505. Edit: It's now Lysdestic#1701
Sweetwater is still the only online instrument retailer I actually enjoy doing business with.

Re: The "Where have the years gone" thread
I popped my head in the old IRC the other day, was nice to catch up with Nobbs. A discord would be neat, but I get the reasons why some might not agree.
Any cool discords y'all old-timers are active in these days?

Re: OpenRhythm - A new open source rhythm game. [WIP]
Hey Weirdpeople! I still poke my head in here from time to time and I saw your post in the FoFiX thread, so I just wanted to stop by and offer you some kind words. I'm stoked to see you're still doing coding for this sort of stuff. Most of my gaming is Xbox based these days, and between RB4 and RB3 ...
