Re: Guitar Hero vs. Real Guitar

What guitar and controller are you using? I like to play GH with my "Xplorer" controller because the buttons are so easy to press, I doubt I could do as well as I do with my GH5 generi-caster as it's buttons have a lot more resistance. I also have an Xplorer. I think the trouble with that...

Re: Guitar Hero vs. Real Guitar

I have put sandpaper on the buttons, nah only joking :-), but maybe not such a bad idea, you cant have to hard callouses. The harder the better. Ok, I guess it´s all different depending on where youre coming from and what level you have reached in your playing either on real guitar or or plastic. Bu...

Re: Guitar Hero vs. Real Guitar

@ambiguity. Maybe it hadn´t been "instantly fun" if you had not already had the experience from playing guitar hero and FoF and already developed some fingerstrength, technique and sense of timing and rhythm, but that is a thing you never will know I guess. You probably didnt suck at the g...

Re: Guitar Hero vs. Real Guitar

if you think you can play drums because you've played GH drums, you're seriously f*cked. Basicly, you've learned all techniques by yourself, and you will have to relearn them all to play on a bigger kit. I really don´t hink learning flams (two hits played almost simultaneously on a snare-drum) and ...

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread

There´s no normal hit window anymore just tight=no cheat, and the cheats wide, and widest. Why? Now we have to choose between a ridiculously hard tight and cheating with wide or widest. I really don´t think tight equals a normal hit-window (one that´s just enough to work musically in real life, and ...

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread

I can´t find the manual fretboard-speed settings, did you remove that? In old FoFix i play at 270% of normal fretboard-speed. But in the new quicksettings, when I choose pure speed the notes are still to close to each other in fast solos making them impossible to decode for me. Edit: Never mind. Pur...

Re: Drum Setup Help

Yup there is an option for that. In the drum keys menu, though I never use it myself. How fun is drumming without a kick-drum? And i dont care about points just want to become a better drummer.

Nice job on the keytar theme. However, my question is, do you control FoF with a MIDI-keyboard as in the theme, and if you do how do you do it. It would be great practice for my pianoplaying if I could use my own Yamaha-keyboard to do that. One could use different and interchangeable pentatonic scal...
