Feature Idea for Vocals

I've been thinking that the person on vocals has the toughest job. I mean the guitar is plastic with 5 keys, and the game makes you sound like you rock. For anyone singing, if they aren't a good singer, that's it, the difficulty isn't scaled the same way. From what I understand (and I'm probably wro...

With strumming.

I guess people weren't breaking the guitars fast enough.

Re: I don't even know... um, n00b question on note type?

Of course it's a Big Rock Ending. Dude, the objective is to play the greater amount of notes you're able to, and, in order to score the points you'll collect when playing the notes (that you may play randomly), you must hit correctly the last note (or chord) that comes after it. This is a feature t...

I don't even know... um, n00b question on note type?

I've been slowly working my way through the different packages (GHI, GHII, etc.). I just came across something, I don't even know what to call it, let alone how to play it. It looks like all 5-notes as solid ribbons for a long period of time, and a percentage counter comes up above it. What is this?...

Re: lag problems

You can try using a less complex theme like the Megalight or Uberlight that come with FoFiX.
I would also try increasing the buffersize. That can directly effect stuttering issues. (If you do raise the buffer you may need to adjust the A/V delay.).

Setting A/V Delay Q and a feature suggestion

As I was playing my way into more difficult songs on higher difficulty levels, I notice that a lot of my note hits were slightly late to late. Since I had adjusted my buffer size to 4096, I figured that the A/V delay needed tweaking. I now keep the delay around 200 +/- 25ms, but one thing troubles m...

Re: FoFiX 3.121 and desktop acceleration?

Actually, I finally gave up and went back to 3.120. In addition to the problem in the first post, I had some strange crashes with v3.121 py2.5 (that I didn't get with py2.6). It would crash to a black screen, send CPU utilization to 100% and make it damn impossible to stop. Even had it happen once f...

Re: FoFiX 3.120 RC Problem

Try using the py2.4 version. Both versions are supposed to leak memory but py2.6 seems to be worse for many people.
